We also offer a free suite of extra resources for your future career. Will my certificate be nationally recognised? Yes. Sutherland Training is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #31956) and the certificates we issue are nationally recognised. How long do I get to complete my course? Once the enrolment phase is complete and your first unit is up on the portal, you have 12 months maximum. You may finish earlier. Go at your own pace and manage your own time. Can I finish my course in a shorter time? Yes, if you have time to dedicate to your learning, you can finish earlier. Can I start any time or do you have intake dates etc? Your course is entirely self-paced and self-managed. You can start anytime. Some students go through the enrolment phase and only want to start a month later for example. You decide when you want to start. How much support do I get? You are very supported at Sutherland Training. You will be able to message your assessor directly from the portal if you need answers or support. We also have Tip Sheets for every unit that guide you on what we are looking for in that unit. Some units have support videos to watch for further explanation. Also, if you are stuck, we can organise a Zoom call to talk you through the problem. We get back to you very quickly and we have many great testimonials from students saying how supported they felt. Are there government subsidies for my course? Our bespoke Performance Tasks test you on real-life situations that are lifted from actual workplaces. We aim to pathway you easily into the workplace with tasks you will be familiar with. What entry requirements are there for this course? You will need basic computer skills and adequate Language Literacy and Numeracy skills. You will also need access to a computer with Microsoft Office and reliable Internet. Most importantly, you will also need to have a willingness to learn and be self motivated. Do you offer payment plans? Yes, we offer payment plans for all fees. What weekly commitment would be required to complete this course in 12 months? We give you 12 months to complete 13 units of competency which is ample time for a certificate III course level. We give 12 months to cater for life’s eventualities. If you are to use the full 12 months you would be looking at submitting one unit every 28 days. A unit will take roughly 30 to 40 hours to complete – it may take as little as 5 hours and as much as 40. It all depends where your skill level sits for that unit. To give you an idea you can expect to set aside about 5-7 hours a week to finish in 12 months. You can however complete it sooner. How is the course presented? The course is presented 100% online. What this means is all resources are housed on our learning portal for you to access anytime. You study at your own pace and in your own time – no need to be in attendance for any classes and there are no pre-recorded lectures. You do all the reading and study on the learner portal which is interesting and stimulating with quizzes and tests etc. It is highly engaging. Once you have read the “Learning Resource” you start on the assessments which test your knowledge. Support is always available and you are assigned an assessor for each unit.
