About Us
Established in 1991, Sutherland Training has delivered high‑quality accredited and non‑accredited training across three continents. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #31956) since 2011, we specialise in nationally recognised Business and Medical Administration qualifications delivered online with flexible, student‑focused support.
Accredited Training
We deliver Certificate II and Certificate III qualifications in Business, including Administration, Medical Administration and Customer Engagement specialisations. As Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) under the Skills Assure Program (Department of Trade, Employment and Training, Queensland, QLD), eligible learners may access subsidised training for our Certificate III courses. We pride ourselves on being experts in the field of administration and committed to delivering practical, industry‑relevant skills.
Short courses for Professional Development
Our non‑accredited short courses include Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Access) and accounting programs such as MYOB and Xero. These courses are delivered in person and virtually via Zoom. We also offer a suite of 20‑hour online short courses designed for upskilling and professional development.
Partnerships with schools
We work with a growing number of secondary schools—primarily in South Australia—delivering online VET courses that contribute to SACE credits. We value strong partnerships with schools and welcome opportunities to support new VET programs across Australia.
Working with businesses delivering short non-accredited courses
For many years we have partnered with businesses across Queensland to deliver tailored non‑accredited training solutions. Our clients include small, medium and large organisations across both private and government sectors. We work closely with businesses to identify skills gaps and develop targeted training programs that support workforce development.
Our training venue
Short courses are delivered at The Hive, Kon‑Tiki Business Centre in Maroochydore—a modern, vibrant training space with state‑of‑the‑art facilities and convenient dining options. Class sizes are capped at six to ensure a relaxed, supportive and personalised learning environment.
Domestic and Family Violence Policy
Sutherland Training supports the recommendations laid out in the Not now, Not Ever Report putting an end to domestic and family violence in Queensland. Our staff are informed of our Domestic and Family Violence Policy which provides avenues of support.
