Reasons for undertaking our Digital Literacy Course
--------------------------------------------------
If you feel you lack computer skills but have found yourself in a position where computer skills are required for a new role or employment opportunities, then our Digital Literacy Course course is perfect for you.
This one-day course will familiarise you with the basics to help you gain the confidence to understand computer basics and gain practical skills with some commonly used programs such as Word and Excel. Past students comment on how they feel less fear and confusion around computers and how valuable this course was.
What is Digital Literacy?
---------------------------------------------------
Digital literacy is the ability to use digital technologies effectively and responsibly for various purposes. It is an essential skill for living and working in the 21st century, as digital technologies have transformed many aspects of our lives, such as communication, education, entertainment, health, and commerce.
To become digitally literate, we need to develop a range of skills across three core areas:
- using technology
- understanding technology
- creating with technology.
Target Audience
---------------------------------------------------
We work with many rehabilitation organisations and WorkCover clients looking at upgrading their computer skills to return to work after an injury.
We also work with those needing to address their lack of computer skills for future employment.
